Apple let me down, or was it the Royal Mail?

28 Aug

Right now I shouldn’t be able to write this, I should be installing OS X 10.6 but it hasn’t turned up! Apple shipped it late on Wednesday, like 10pm late and it has failed to arrived.

Who should I blame (someone is always to blame), I ordered it the minute it was available for pre-order, so I don’t blame myself:-) Partially the blame has to rest with Apple as mac forums around the web are full of people in the UK that have not received their update to day, apparently it has been shipped from Holland, why? Let’s just make it extra long winded shall we Mr Jobs, normally things from Apple arrive like lightning, I ordered my new iPhone 3GS at around 3pm on a Wednesday and it arrived less than 24 hours later.

So what has gone wrong with the Snow Leopard discs, yes that’s right, it’s the bloomin’ Royal Mail, there are strikes around the country particularly in London and Scotland I believe. Apple should really have anticipated this as I got post today, just not from them, they could have used a different service, or posted the items earlier. However, this time I am more than happy to give the Lion’s share of the blame to that mickey mouse outfit that is the Royal Mail, but please Apple don’t make this mistake again, learn from it and stick with UPS.
